Does anyone know how much Volts does a Variable Timing Solenoid use? I checked on my tundra 2007 and is showing only 2.37 volts on all 4, on my voltmeter. Is this correct?

Good question.. No idea. How did you check it? Maybe others can try that and get back to you with a reading?

The “voltage” will vary, as it is a PWM (pulse width modulation) output from the ECU. Basically the ECU can vary the voltage to to solenoids with more or less rapid pulses to control cam timing based on feedback from the cam position sensors for the current RPM, load, etc. They are not a on / off, all or nothing sorta thingamobob.

Any reason you’re measuring? Fault codes, or issues?
