I installed these Toyota extruded aluminum running boards. It's nice having a skirt on the truck. Fills out the shape more. These don't stick out so much that you bump your shins into them, but they do help as an additional step to get into the seat. I think with the running board I don't really need the Sequoia grab handle mod.

Toyota's parts website is pretty confusing and offers several options for running boards. I settled on the extruded aluminum ones. The weird thing is Toyota's descriptions are all wrong for the crew cab vs double cab fitment.

I got these for the double cab:
    https://parts.toyota.com/p/Toyota_2...nning-Boards---C-Cab/72025681/PT92534181.html
    Part# PT92534181

The web page says they are C-cab and the box I think was even labelled crew cab but PT92534181 does indeed fit the double cab. I bought them shipped to a local dealer so if it turned out wrong I'd have a chance to say they need to take it back because it was in fact mislabeled. Just FYI that cab type fitment is not labelled correctly on the website and it's super confusing. It's worth double checking, perhaps with the dealer.
