Quick story. I bought a 2007 4.7v8 tundra last jully my first truck and first vehicle. It ran awesome for about 2 weeks till It started leaking. I bought it to a mechanic that my parents use. The transmission Colling line and power stearing lines were both rusted out and needed to be replaced.
They fixed that and when I went to pick it up. It started leaking a peice of my rad was broken and my fairly new shocks of the hood were both broken.
I asked them about it and they said yeah I can order you new ones and had to pay out of pocket to get the rad fixed. Even though the rad didn't have any issues before going in so I'm assuming that they have become a dirty mechanics.
Especially since it's been a slow season for them.
Got it rad fixed and haven't had an issues since.
Eventually my 4high and vsc was flashing and didn't want to drive it. Bc i didn't know what was wrong with it. Brought it my local mechanic and they have been awesome. No issues really friendly and if they mess up they own up to it and fix it free of charge.
They fixed the issue I had. And helped fix my truck 2 more times.
Two days ago I just got my timming belt replaced cause I don't think it has ever been changed. My truck has 36000km on it and the belt has finally been changed.
So that Toyota ome belt has been awesome especially since that truck is 18 years old. Ik really risky that I drove it not knowing but still a 18 year old belt and 360km on it. That's insane.
