I removed the rear speakers on my non-JBL system. Amazing how incredibly lightweight (crappy) these speakers are. Each one must weigh less than 1 pound! If you ever have wondered if an upgraded speakers would sound better, I can guarantee that they will. I can't wait to get this system install completed which includes:

    Kenwood 693S head unit
    JL Audio 300/4 amp
JBL GTO 609C component speakers for front doors
Image Dynamics ID65 speakers for rear doors
    Rear camera in tailgate handle
    Front camera mounted in emblem

A paper cup is better than the OEM SR5 speakers.
