Just curious has anybody installed the Toyota Console safe in the huge console of their Tundra here? How do you like it?

Buy something legit like a lockrdown or save your money.

I have one. I use it occasionally. I think it’s misleading in that it isn’t really all that secure. That said it’s better than nothing and it’s probably fine for a quick smash and grab. It’s mostly makes me feel warm and toasty when I have to leave things in the truck unattended, but I wouldn’t leave a firearm in it if I wasn’t with the truck.

Just install one yesterday. I had one in my other Tundra so this truck needed one as well. It perfect for valuables that you can't take with you. Anyone looking for a quick smash and grab and the safe will stop them. No one is going to spend time in a truck trying to pry open a safe or pick the lock unless you have parked it in a secluded area.

I had the Lock'r down (full safe) in my '15 and didn't care for the loss of some standard storage space. My '21 came with the Toyota 1/2 safe....I really like this model. I use it everyday for the most important items.

Absolutely, when we are at a trailhead or going for a swim we lock up our phones and wallets.
