Toyota, one of the last major automakers that had yet to announce support for Android Auto, announced today that it’s bringing Google’s in-vehicle infotainment platform support to select 2018 through 2020 vehicle models. Proceed with the happy dance, ‘Yota fans.

The supported vehicles are as follows.

    • 4Runner 2020-
    • Aygo 2018-
    • Sequoia 2020-
    • Tacoma 2020-
    • Tundra 2020-
    • Yaris (Europe Only) 2019-

also i am guessing some of the features on the 2020 tacoma will carry over to the new tundra

    2020 Tacoma:
    • New grilles and wheels (all trims)
    • 7in touchscreen infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, and Android Auto (SR trim)
    • 8in touchscreen infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, and Android Auto (SR5 and up trims)
    • Standard JBL audio system (except manual transmission trucks; why? who knows?)
    • power driver's seat ("most grades of tacoma" which I'm thinking TRD Sport, TRDOR, Limited, and Pro)
    • standard keyless entry (TRD Sport and up trims)
    • "exclusive" sequential LED/DRL headlamps (Pro trim)
    • standard LED headlights (Limited trim)
    • optional LED headlights (TRD Sport trim; I'm assuming it will be optional for TRDOR though not specifically mentioned)
    • updated taillights and wheels that are 4lbs lighter (Pro trim)
    • "Army Green" exterior paint option (Pro trim)
    • Panoramic View Monitor and Multi Terrain Monitor (Pro trim)
      • basically a 360 degree camera feature including a camera to see under the truck for approaches
    • Standard old V6/6AT combo with zero improvements (SR5 and up trims)
    • optional old V6/6MT combo with zero improvements (SR5 and up trims)
