He said defense so I excluded anything over 7 lbs. and all my rifles are heavy AF except pea shooters. :notsure:

    If we are talking pistol...

    (disclaimer: I know the 44mag is a better round, but I prefer to shoot from a pistol/platform I've spent hundreds/thousands of hours with) 44mag: 240gr/1180 fps/ 742ftlbs

... 10mm Glock w/Buffalo Bore Dangerous Game/Hardcast ammunition: 190gr / 1200 fps / /607ftlbs (pretty close to the 44mag from a familiar semi auto platform), which I believe would allow me to be much more efficient!!!

Efficiency is the key to winning any violent/deadly encounter!!!!

    I’ve always wanted a 10mm but I can’t shoot a Glock. S&W made some badass 10mm semi autos.

Quick access when I’m working on the truck and the scrubs are walking the street, and I’ve read that pre warmed powder, shoots faster.

When the gem show is near, the town fills with scrubs and gutter squirrels. The bar I go to usually attracts them and their stinky backpacks and poor dogs. The gutter squirrels aren’t TOO bad, it’s the local scrubs roasting foil that pisses me off. Had one out front the other week sitting on a couch at the curb for brush and bulky, of course the cops never showed up

As far as what to carry when out in the wilds, I'm old fashioned and carry a 9. Maybe not the most powerful round, but if I can't kill it with 15 shots, then I probably deserve to be eaten. That, and when I'm camping I also usually have my AK with me, that should do the trick.

We need to go down to Gardner and shoot some skeet.

    Long or short?
Family memeber had a Judge. I think it was referred to as the ultimate home defense weapon since you could throw 3 or 4 410 shells then a .38 in the "finish the job"

Long barrel, but it shoots 45 long colt, and 410.
I was pretty pissed when it got stolen, all of my guns actually walked out the door, I got all but the judge back.

Oh my bad. But yea, it's pretty cool. Kinda heavy, but it's not meant to be an EDC.
