Toyo O/C AT3 295/70/18E VS 35X12.5 D

Debating between these two tires for a third gen. What i'm wondering is Toyo makes the 35 in a load range D which is only 2 pounds lighter per tire Vs the 295/70 load E however i'm seeing the load rating is 2,900 VS 4,000... so i'm thinking the 35 load D might be a better riding tire even though it's heavier. Would that be a correct assumption? Does anyone have these load D 35's, how do they ride? It's too bad they don't make a 34" thats not E range because I really don't want the stiff ride.

 

I'm literally in this exact debate before black Friday is over. I'm debating the same 295 vs 35 Toyo AT3...or 3rd option 295/70/R18 Nitto Recon's SL, only 53 lbs but like Toyo better overall.

I have 295/60R20 Toyos OC AT3 and they are not too bad at all. The ride was about the same as the TRD 18” Michelins.

You can feel the extra weight as well.

I just got 295/70R18 on the 3500 and they feel stiffer but could be suspension! It is a good size for either truck.
