I’m getting mixed results in my research. Does a 2019 4x4 SR5 or Limited have a higher towing capacity?

It depends on crewmax vs dobule cab, options etc. Consult the manual for most reliable numbers.

What is the reason behind this? Why does a bigger cab mean less towing?

Probably because the crew max weighs more. JMO

Yes the truck only has so much capacity and anything added in or on the truck takes away from that number. Crewmax weighs more than the double cab. This works the same way for your payload.

Take that code match it with your manual in the towing section and it will tell you your towing capacity

The chart he posted has both crewmax specs. The limited shows 1000 pounds less than the SR5.

3-1 level kit with add a leaf. 295/70/18r cooper max. Spider head light tail light and third brake light, tint, badges off, ladder racks, trd pro grill, color matched hood bulge, grab handle, coach builder +2, dv8 front bumper with winch, fender flares, bed cover....
So I know it’s about 10,000 lbs I have a question if I have to haul a 7000 lb machine on a 4000 lb trailer. Maybe 5 miles a few times a year is that a big deal?
