purchased a 2015 MGM Crew tundra a few months ago and it has a tow brake already installed. I do not do a lot of towing unless I need to rent a Uhaul and haul lumber a few hours or deliver custom furniture. Neither of these weighs a lot.

Naive as I am to towing, what does this brake do and is it something that I should remove if I’m not going to use it? Thanks for the input.

It is for control of Electric brakes on a trailer, leave it in the truck, it won't hurt anything
