I just put money down on a new 2023 Tundra Limited with the off road package, but have some hesitation.
I'd rather get this with the added tow package instead of the off road. Either one has the capability it to tow our travel trailer but I'm more concerned if the ride would be smoother with the tow package versus the off road package when not towing anything. ... any comments?

    Lots of stuff!
We have a Limited Crewmax TRD offroad and tow a 4500 lbs trailer. We don't have the air system in the rear. The ride is pretty good with the red Bilstein shocks. I also put some Timbren SES bump stops in to keep the truck more level with the trailer. Our has the tow modes and it does a good job of pulling the trailer and stopping with the built in brake controller. We also considered pulling the trailer up hill from a slippery start. We could drop it into 4 Lo and lock the rear diff to get us moving. Sort of like pulling a boat up a greasy ramp. We did not care for the tow mirrors which seemed to be too far away but that's just us.

There are some reviews of others who have the other suspensions and it seems that reviews are all over the map.

We got the Multiview camera setup as well so you get a birds eye view of the truck which sis very handy.

Thanks for responding, sounds like either setup will work for me.

I opted for the Off-Road package vs an air suspension model. I actually had a chance to drive both prior. Personally I thought for every day driving the suspension on the Off-Road was much better and far les juttery in the rear end than the air suspension.

I never really tow anything more than about 5k lbs though. If I was going to be towing a lot or in the higher end of the max load ranges I would have gone for the air suspension. I’ve seen some pictures of the off-road max loaded and the squat is pretty intense.
