I will be towing a Nissan xterra with a uhaul auto carrier. No wheels on the ground.

They say I need a tow capacity of min 7000 pounds but I have to have a 2" ball.

The ball is only rated at 6000 pounds and the hitch is only 6000 pounds as well.

If I go up in size of the ball then the trailer wont fit.

The truck weighs 4400 pounds and the trailer weighs at least a ton I would assume.

How do they use a 2" ball with the weight?

Get one with a bigger base that you bolt to the hitch with. That’s what I’m thinking? Don’t know what you are going to do about the hitch especially on a brand new vehicle?

I see they sell 2 inch balls with different ratings. I guess I have to buy a new one.

You'll just need a different ball mount and ball. There are 7500lb rated mounts and balls out there.

Going there in a few minutes. Then dropping off the dogs, heading to the bank, driving 3 hours to look at a truck, buy it, rent a trailer and haul it back if I buy it.
Going to be a long day

Drove 2.5 hours to witness a check engine light on it.
Could have been a few things so passed on it but was a nice ride and went to Pennsylvania for some fireworks seems how I was 20 minutes away
