First i'd like to say that i'm in the military and purchased this 2008 Sequoia while deployed. It was used as a work vehicle for a church so it has relatively low miles for its age (180k). I think it got used a lot to transport chairs/equipment and maybe periodically used to transport people for church functions. I immediately wanted to do the full car audio upgrade as the stock speakers were dry rotted. I figured I would share my build with the community with all the things I wish I could have found in a place like this. I'm Air Force avionics so I figured I would share some of the wire repair techniques I use on aircraft here because I see some atrocious videos. What you see here may not look super pretty, but it will work way better than crimping your connections and prevent feedback buzz from plaguing and likely destroying your audio system. I feel like the install is super clean and the whole thing looks and feels stock when complete. Feel free to ask me questions here, or on the youtube video. Mind you I didn't feel like using much of the stock anything (steering wheel) but for those of you who would like to you could buy both of these things and get your volume knob.

I personally hate it when I hit the steering wheel buttons by mistake and have it call someone or begin dictation. I'd rather use the hands free on my phone and couldn't justify paying almost 300 dollars for a bunch of hardware that is just adding complications to a system that will never go back stock. At some point i may try to find a more minimalist way to hook up the 3 steering wheel wires to my 1 pioneer steering wheel 'analog' adapter.

Here she is in all her glory.
