Not to long ago i had a shop put on Bilstein 5100 at the highest setting and 295/70/18 Nittos on stock rims. Right after i trimmed the skid plate a little bit to avoid any Tire rubbing and thought that was going to be it. If i am pulling into a steep driveway and turning at most likely full lock it’s still catching on to something. I’ve looked through the forums and searching and I’m seeing wheel spacers and also replacing the UCAs. Please advise. My steering wheel while driving 60 plus also has a little shake to it. Please see pictures thanks

Iv been closer and had zero issues for thousands of miles.

Front plastic or cab mount are my guesses for your rubbing issue.

It might just be my skid plate then I’ve thought about replacing it or trimming it more

Turn the wheel full lock, get out and look. Keep in mind though, suspension will shift slightly when under load.

Also, FYI, install the bump stop shims Bilstein provided you with. Without them your coilover is the bump stop due to coil block height.

It looks like the tires might be (or may have) rubbed on the Swaybar (in the circled area from your picture).

Hmmm. Clearance seems ok from the pictures but this could all be changing when driving and the suspension is flexing.
A few questions to try to narrow this down:
Is it rubbing on one side or both?
Does it rub when turning only 1 direction or both?
Does it rub when going forward only or also in reverse?
Does it sound like metal or plastic that is rubbing?

    Alot of them
Put something like chalk or craft paint on suspect areas and drive it and see where any of it gets rubbed.

It’s been something I’ve been trying to keep a close eye on.
It seems to be rubbing only when i go into a steep driveway or. Regular turning seems to be fine

Same size tires on stock rims. I put 1.25" spacers on. Pulled the spat. No rubbing except a few times when braking and turning with the tires aired down to 18 psi. I can't duplicate it.

I also have a slight shake while driving considering spacers or looking into UCAs which is something I’m not to familiar with

Thanks...but I am asking for cab side, cab mount. I am wanting to see if you are contacting the cab mount. Other end of the wheel well.

ideally, cab mount side, pictures with both the wheel halfway to lock and at full lock.

regarding shaking - check tire balance

Based off previous posts, CB shim would be a waste of money as it appears that it is not contacting the front plastics.

I see what your saying now thanks.

As it stands though, we have yet to establish even needing spacers...but it's a possibility as I feel that @sr5shark might have been right on sway bar contact.
