Well my vehicle has 17k on it and didnt have time when I did my oil change to rotate the tires.

    Todays the day!
Pulled the tires and on the passenger side from I see something interesting.
Never know what you'll find when you start looking thats for sure.

Wet shock. Whats that about? Blown oem shock for a street truck?
Lower half of the shock is wet with oil. Bottom is more wet.

After this I checked how much meat is left on the brakes.

Fronts look great, lots of material left.

Rear pads look low to me. I know the rears dont do nearly as much as the fronts but darn these look low.

Yep, bad strut, warranty time. Rear brakes are fine, they have much less material than fronts to begin with. Great catch!!
FYI, those factory standard struts are manufactured by KYB.

Had a bad one on a brand new 4Runner from Japan, it happens ...dealer tech actually noticed it and was replaced under factory warranty.

Ok,well i'll stop by the dealer on Tuesday then and see them warranty the strut. Presume they'll have to order that, doubt they have a replacement strut in stock.

As for the rear brakes..... Maybe i'll order a set of pads and rotors for the rear from Rock. With my luck i'll hear grinding metal and then have to deal with it (wait for a week for it to arrive)
