Tire PSI (Cold vs hot)

Would someone enlighten me on the current possible tire PSI you have? Cold vs hot and what tire size?
Mine are factory stock 20' running cold 34/35 and hot 42/43.
Have a feeling my hot is too high, but want to compare some numbers before I let it out and re-air this weekend.

 

Everything is based on cold numbers. I believe the factory recommendation is 30/33. Check the driver door jamb for the sticker.

 

Ah. But in real life? I know factory numbers are by sticker, but what of real life PSI people are running?

 

tire pressure is always set cold. If you are running stock load and size, just follow sticker in door jam. I usually bumped it up a pound or two from factory specs, tires wore better.

Then if you ever install larger tires or tires with a different load rating, use this tool to get your pressure

 

Hot I run 44 psi on all corners with 285/70/18 Ridge Grapplers.

 

If you are on stock tires and wheels that will give you the best ride. IME people change pressure when the change tire rating or are towing/hauling. Lower than OEM spec and you’ll wear the shoulder prematurely- higher the OEM spec with stiffen the ride.

 

^ Like these are E rated tires with max pressure of 80 psi - can’t compare to the p rated tires that come on the truck.
