So I’m looking at either Toyo AT3’s for my truck or Nitto Trail Grapplers. I know this is an all terrain versus an off road tire, but I really like the aggressive look of the Trail Grappler, but my wife is concerned about the noise on trips. I won’t be doing much off-roading either. What are your thoughts on either tire?

Also, the Trail Grappler’s are about $45 cheaper per tire here.

I prefer the Toyos. Had the AT2s on my Tacoma and they were awesome.

There are dozens of threads comparing these two tires. I was gonna find a couple of threads to start you off, but there are dozens so instead, do a search of this forum for “Toyo” and you can see them all. Starting about halfway down on the results.

It doesn’t work as well to search from the Grapplers side.

It's all personal preference. You know the trade-offs with each, no point in going through all that. My only suggestion would be to ignore the price difference. A month from now, it won't matter, but you'll be living with your tire choice a lot longer. The AT3 actually looks a lot like the Nitto Terra Grappler G2, why not compromise with yourself and get those?

Edit: oh, and welcome to the forum! We'll help you spend your money:p

AT3's have a treadlife warranty and triple peak snowflake.

Got mine a couple weeks ago. The hum a little at 50 mph+, but after 3 days I don't even hear it anymore.

Forget looks, the more aggressive the look, the louder the road noise, and it begins at 35mph.

    I've been down that road.

Go with michelin at2s, check out their side snipes, made for mud/sand/gravel. My at2s perform Better than my wranglers, which were so noisy, disgusting.
