Wife Hit a curb/drove over something and noted this on my sidewall. Could have been a pot hole. She is not sure.

I think it’s slowly leaking air, but very very slowly; maybe 1 psi every 2 days. Difficult to tell with our weather changes daily of how hot it gets in the day and cold at night.

    thoughts?

That’s the inside of the tire, no?

If the sidewall is damaged to the point of leaking air I would consider the tire compromised and get rid of it.

    Alot of them
Get a spray bottle of soapy water and spray it and see if it bubbles.

    Agreed.

It appears to be cosmetic/superficial, but the only way to know for certain is to dunk it or spray soapy water and look for bubbles.

Also agreed. If it turns out to be leaking from those gashes on the sidewall then it is best to replace the tire immediately.

Just so ya know, a blowout can tear up a fender and paint a little bit or even quite a bit in some cases.

Wait, I'm confused. (Not unusual, just ask my wife)

How does one damage the inside of a tire from hitting a curb?

Looks superficial from the pic, but??? If air's coming out from there, no bueno.

I learned the hard way on tires with damage at 19 years old.

Not to make a long story, but had a blowout in the Mojave desert hauling balls. Vehicle almost rolled and I came in contact with another driver. The other driver wasn't concerned since he was drunk and just left the scene.

That was the last time I had subpar tires on any vehicle.

Similar, low tread. Hydroplaned and pulled posts from 346' of pipe/cable pasture fence out of the ground with the cab of my truck. Top rail came over the hood and would have taken my head off if it wasn't down on the seat. The grill was intact about 300' out into the pasture.

Well, if it was my wife, that nice wheel would be pretzeled and she’d tell me two weeks later that it doesn’t drive smooth.

From what I can see in the picture, I think that tire is OK. But I can’t see enough from the picture to say either way, so your plan for a professional assessment is spot on.
