If you are having difficulty programming the lock/unlock/panic key fob to your 1st gen Tundra with the RS3200 alarm system, there is a reason.

The RS3200 system on most first gen Tundras doesn't like cheap Aliexpress/Ebay fobs even though many successful locksmiths use them on other cars with no issues (yes I even put brand new Energizer batteries into them). And yes, I know most of you are going to say "just buy an OEM Toyota one" but who wants to spend a bunch of money on that.

I went through and returned one Aliexpress one and two Ebay ones with the correct FCC ID before I finally drove to my local locksmith who told me first gen tundras only like Ilco branded or OEM fobs.

I ordered an Ilco one the same day (half the price of Toyota OEM), got it in the mail today, and it programmed the very first try (using the same programming procedure I tried with the cheaper ones).

And before the forum police start replying to this thread saying "There is a sticky with this info", no there isn't. At least nothing mentioning Ilco.

TL;DR: Buy an Ilco brand remote if you don't want to waste money on a Toyota OEM one and Ebay/Alixpress ones don't work for you.

My 03 Tundra has the FCC ID BAB237131-056. The Toyota OEM part # is 08191-00922 and the Ilco Model RKE-TOY-3B4 worked great.

My issue with the Aliexpress/Ebay fobs was that the car WOULD go into programming mode (and chirp and cycle the locks indicating its ready to program a key) but when I pressed the lock/unlock buttons at the same time followed by the lock button on the fob, nothing would happen, or the locks would cycle twice instead of once like they're supposed to. The vehicle knew I had a remote I was trying to program because it would respond by double cycling when I tried to program the cheap fobs, but wouldn't do it properly until I used the Ilco one.
