I have a 2011 5.7 Ltr Tundra I received from my son-in-law, the original owner. It had 196K miles on it when I obtained it. I change the oil every 6 months ( which equates to about 4,700+/- miles ) with quality synthetic 0W-30 oil and it only consumes about 1/2 quart between oil changes. The engine now has 219K miles on it and for all intents seems solid as a rock. My son-in-law towed a boat, but I do not and I live in a fairly hot climate, Houston, Texas. My question involves the timing chain. I feel a timing chain for a 5.7 Ltr well-maintained engine, should be good for at least 350K. My ask is....I would like to hear from anyone with a 5.7 Ltr engine with the original timing chain and more than 350K miles on the clock? More than 400K? Secondary question is.... what noises, or occurrences might I look for that would give a clue it is time for a new chain before it breaks?

As long as you continue to do regular oil changes, I would worry too much about the timing chain. Mine rattles at start up but I am not concerned.
One thing I have seen that all 5.7 owners need to be aware of is cooling system maintenance. Some head gasket failures(after many years and miles) are starting to show up due to lack of coolant system maintenance. If you dont know when the cooling system was flushed, you may want to do it.
