So it’s time for some new tires and I’m definitely not a tire pro. Looking for some good positive reviews from experience. I’m currently on 33/12.5/18 toyo R/T, they ride smooth and are fairly quiet. The down side is the are worthless once I leave the pavement, snow, mud, sand, etc. I am looking to step up to 35/12.5/18 with a snowflake rating. I live in the PNW so a good all terrain would probably be best. Please respond and let me know your thoughts. Thanks

lots of good choices available. You will have to check the size for the specific tire to see if they are 3 peak rated, some tires are only 3 peak rates in particular sizes.

I currently run Wildpeaks, 3 peak, great in dry, wet, snow and quiet for an aggressive AT. No complaints about them and I am pretty picky about tires. Tires are always the first thing I upgrade on ANY vehicle.

I ran cooper xlts, were also 3 peak but that can depend on the size with that tire. Great tire but my batch was defective and I returned them....lots of folks running them and happy.

BFG is always popular. But I think the new stuff is not as good as the older, especially in E load. Wet traction is not great and they get hard with some age, reducing traction.

Nitto RG is popular, but skip them if you need good snow traction, do not think they are 3 peak either.

Toyo at2 and 3 are popular too-good tread warranty and likely 3 peak across all sizes.

Those above are popular choices, often because the tires have the AT tire look people want and they perform well. Do not discount less aggressive looking AT tires however, such as Hancook dynapro- looks tame but is a good AT, rides well on pavement, great in snow, 60k miles for warranty. Had them on a 4runner for 55k miles, did just fine and still tread would still pass state inspection when I replaced them.

one easy way to see and compare is to just go to tirerack.com or discounttire.com, search by tire size and AT, and you can see what is available, pricing, mileage ratings, etc.

Just put Cooper 275\65\20 AT on. You can hear em but it’s not obnoxious. My Goodyear’s on my Ram were quieter but felt less..tough.

I just got some of the les schwab open range And so far I like them a hell of a lot better then the toyo open country AT 2’s I had. I’m in the PNW also and basically wanted exactly what you’re looking for because I drive over the pass to Seattle area a lot. I went with les schwab just because around my area they seem to have the best service by far. It was between the open range, falken wildpeak and the Goodyear ultra terrain A/T for me.

I had Toyo ATIII in 35x12.5r18 on my Ram and was very happy with them in the snow and on the sand. Never tried them in mud, we don’t have much of that here.

I have Falken Wildpeak A/T3 295/60 R20 on my Tundra and used them on my previous one too. They seem to last longer than BFG.

I just put on continental A/T, not real aggressive as I drive a lot of highway. Quiet and smooth.

I have them in 35x12.50-20. Great traction on wet pavement, dirt, mud and snow. Quiet ride for a true all-terrain and good, even wear.

Whatever tire you get, start off right and duracoat them! You’ll never shine them again!

When it comes to modding, I hate having to sacrifice something performance wise. If you like the look of 35s and can live with performance loss, cool. But I'm the type to regear to 4.88 if I ever get larger tires.

Also in the PNW and not displeased with Duratracs. They are stiff for sure but I am happy with them year-round. Had them on my previous 1/2-ton, too.

    BFG KO2's. E load and 18".
KO2's always done great for me in the snow.
costco has a sale right now. $110 off for set of 4 btw + the costco warranty

Toyo AT3 nice too but F or C load only in 35/18.

Well after shopping around and many different options I ordered the faulken wildpeak AT3 in a 295/70/18 size. Just need to choose where to have them mounted when they get here. I’ll post pics when I get them installed.

Funny story, I got a email notification from the vendor today saying the only Faulken wildpeak AT3 tires they had were dated 2013. I canceled my order. Ended up reordering them through simpletire. Seemed like a seamless process with them assisting with finding a local shop to mount and balance for a good price. Scheduled for install Friday morning

Im trying to decide between the 295 and 275 on 18s with the wildpeaks also. I want the 295, but Im almost sure Im going to regret the feel at the pedal once I get them, but concerned 275 will look skimpy on a 3/1.75

I’m currently riding on 33/12.5/18 toyo R/T and just looking for a better fit for the truck. What suspension set up do you have?
