    I put this in the Camry forum and didn't get a response. Since the steering columns in my 2019 Tundra, 2017 Rav4 and 2007 Camry seem a lot alike mechanically, I'll ask the question here;
    When I release the lever to adjust the steering column on my (new to me) 2007 Camry it just falls in my lap, so to speak. My other two Toyotas seem to "float" like they have a spring assist. Does anyone know anything about this and if it is an easy fix?

    If memory serves there actually is a spring on it. Remove the steering column surround and replace the spring.

    Thanks for the information. I was having trouble locating the part on the steering column diagram on Sparks parts. May have to call one of them to figure it out.
