Hi All. I'm in the market for a 2nd Gen Tundra 4WD. I found one in another state that is pretty high above KBB value. I asked for pictures of the frame and here they are. I know the 2nd Gen is known for excessive frame rust. This 2008, which is located in the midwest, seems to be no different. My question is, just based on these pictures, is this an obscene amount? I don't see holes, but just appears to be surface rust. I would plan spraying it with NHOU if I buy it, but just wanted experienced opinions. Thanks so much!

For the right price I could live with it. It's not awful, but a lot better out there. I'd be concerned the photos don't show the actually bad spots if that's the baseline.

Pass. You can find a better one especially since you are looking out of state.

Mines plenty rusty like that but not the frame. You don’t want to be messing with rusted bolts and stuff with a new truck you just bought

From my experience the 2nd gen frame holds up great, especially to any of the big three

Thanks, gents, for this feedback. I feel better about passing, especially since the price is so high. Hopefully I'll post again sometime in the future with my own rig.
