I think thats way too much bullshit on a truck like that IMO

ESPECIALLY if you are financing, you'll be financing all that little stupid shit for 5-6 years.

    lame

Yeah make sense. All I really wanted is the off road package on the 1794. I guess the (PIO) port installed options isn't up to the dealer since it's basically a factory installed options. It might come with more or might not from what I was told.

I don’t understand all these port installed packages… I haven’t seen anything like that here in Canada. We get a selection of trims then a la carte accessories that we can add and have dealer install if we want.

Who is putting together these “port installed” packages you folks get, the dealers or Toyota?

That is poor value for the $$$ spent.

Hard pass if it were me.

If you catch it early enough the dealer can. Change the port options. They were able to on mine. I would gripe about the 2000 markup and the 857 non tax whatever that is.

I could be wrong but the dealer are putting these options because if you build it your self it will asked you for these options.

    Yes it is.

First ask yourself if you could choose between $77K in cash and that truck which you would choose. I would take the cash 100% of the time under normal circumstances. If you finance you’ll be into that truck for well over $85,000 all said and done.

As pointed out the auto market is starting to correct, there will be better deals for those who are patient. Furthermore there will be much better deals from other manufacturers than Toyota, not only in value for the $$$ at MSRP but in incentives off MSRP and finance offers.

As much as I like Toyota products this new Tundra is not class leading in capabilities, features, or build quality/reliability. It’s an also ran, with an inflated price.

    Lots of stuff!
We can't get that configuration up here! The 1794 doesn't offer the TRD off road package. Some of those extras seem like things that you could sell later but like BB said, you don't need to finance those extras if you don't want them at all. What's that "special colour" charge for? Are you getting red seats like the TRD Pro? I guess Toyota.com doesn't set prices so you get some greedy dealers wanting to cash in while the demand is high! I got mine at the exact amount shown on Toyota.ca and all the extra fees were on the level.

Your truck sounds like a nice one with lots of good things added to it. Did you already get it? And install the lift and tires too?

We got 4.99 on 36 months on ours. Interest rates are climbing here but our dealer was able to hold that for us. not too sure what the rate is now.

this what I had built on the Toyota website. It's the trim below the trd pro. I did not put any options for accessories but the dealer added those. That special color for the color called wind chill pearl.

there is a lot to consider but I might just wait it out. I haven't really looked into another company because my previous truck was a tundra and it was great it never let me down.

    Lots of stuff!
A buddy just bought a 2023 Taco and he was able to jump on someone else's bad luck. It was loaded with a bunch of options that the dealer made him take. It was either take what is available or get on a wait list! The truck was the right one for him but all the extra stuff added thousands to the price (probably close to $5,000) If memory serves me, he got a tonneau cover, steps, bed liner, black badges and tail gate sticker, black tail pipe and probably more stuff. So that added an extra ~10% to the price! I guess the dealers have the power because there will always be someone else to buy the truck if you don't.

So what is the Miscellaneous charge for?
The $395 for the TRD Tips...wow.

Just curious, if you took away all the Port options, may they waive the $1795 Delivery Processing waived (It's $285 higher than the items installed)? If so, all those items that are installed on the port for the truck are items one could easily install. The gun vault prob would be the hardest. Best of luck with the purchase.

A lot can happen when you wait. It's a miss or hit also. It would be a different situation if I actually have 77k in hand but I don't lol. I heard some horrible stories when the tundra first came out, paying 8k over msrp for a limited. Crazy

Understood on the Delivery Charge, I should have asked what about waiving the Port installed Options? Can they waive that if none are installed?

This might be spot on because the dealer I'm going to has one coming in but someone has a deposit for it. But If the other customers doesn't go through with it, I'll be next in line for that tundra.

Dealer uplifts for crap I didn't want, delivery charges, and worst of all doc fee for doing almost nothing. Have been few of many reasons I usually leaned to certified preowned in my past. This time, market adjust was another reason.
