Been going to PT twice a week, and when I parked this morning I saw basically MY truck with the tires and stance I want.

I knew that's what I wanted to do, but now that I've seen it up close and in person, I'm not feeling nearly as patient about doing it as I was!! YOWZA!

I was running kinda' late for my appointment, I wish I would've looked to see what he's done for the level.
From the front is looks pretty level, but from behind it still appears to have a little rake. What do you guys think, level or slight rake? I tow, so I feel like I should keep a little.

275/70/18 BFG's - just one bump up in tire size but man they look so much better than my old man Michelins!

Looks like a 3/2 lift. All of that will make your towing experience worse, just to look cool. But it does look cool.

Well not "just" to look cool...

I would like a touch more ground clearance for exploring and maybe some mild wheeling... but yeah, mostly.

The level look is nice, but the body lines of the tundra and how the bedside tapers down in front of the rear wheels looks better with more rake IMO. If you tow I’d suggest more anyways. I have a 2/1.5 with an AAL in the rear and it tows great while still having the lifted look. Same color, but a DC for reference.

    That looks nice!

Yeah, I wanna' keep some rake.

I'm sorta' thinking 6112's on the 1.9" (middle?) setting, bump up one tire size, and call it a day.

I don't want to go too crazy, and I really don't wanna' take too big a hit on mileage. 1 or 2 mpg I can live with, but this 11.2 Hwy shit ain't gonna' cut it.

Looks closer to 6112's at 1.9 or 2.5 than a 3/2 because there is a little rake. I've got the 6112's up front at 1.9" and 5160 rear at factory height with 295/70r18 and I really like the profile. I tow a bass boat and a side by side so not as much as your TT but no issues but you would probably want 1" rear shackles. Picture doesn't show the rake because of the slope but there is a slight bit, I need to get a better "showoff picture".

Rake is functional. Rake says to me, “the owner of this truck actually uses it.”

Everyone’s opinions on looks are subjective, but I can’t stand the look of a perfectly leveled truck.

Reverse rake? I assume you’ve done unmentionable things with your cousin.

I've kicked around tire options on this truck for the last 3 years. I was totally going to stay conservative and sensible with highway tires and stock suspension since I commute 500+ miles a week.

Well my 275/70r18 Nitto Exo Grapplers showed up yesterday to go on the second set of rims I have been hanging onto and I almost made a deal on a set of TRD Pro Fox takeoffs on Facebook marketplace the other day.

    Go for it!

I do not like the look of leveled or even close to
    level trucks. Couldn’t agree more…

Rake is important, I prefer to raise both ends equally but not for looks. In my experience, vehicles (4Runners, Tacoma’s, and a Tundra in my case) act wonky (lighter steering, “pushing” in the corners, accelerated rear brake wear, and unstable feeling in general) the closer you get to level. Weight balance is important in my opinion. Same goes for my mountain bikes and ATVs.

So 295/70/18 is like a 34" yes? Are those E-range tires?

What kind of an MPG hit did you take from the tires and ride height increase?

Not gonna' lie... Them's some sexy beasts! :burnrubber:

My Toyo RT Trail are E rated. I'm at about 15-16 highway MPG, 12-13 in town, and 10-11 towing. I was previously running Nitto Trail Grappler 275/70r18 that weighed the same as the Toyos so I didn't see a big drop in MPG from what I had.

    Yep, good eye!

My wife works there too. The construction's going gangbusters... As soon as they build something, they've virtually outgrown it already.

HA!! Not for very long you wouldn't!

Not sure what kinda' money you think I have, but if I did that my ass would be getting real dirty, real soon.

Though I have started a little sock drawer savings account for some 6112's. (It's actually not in the sock drawer. it's in the safe. We just call it that 'cuz my wife used to put money in her sock drawer when saving up for something)

I had some 6112/5160 shocks on my Tundra. They performed well for that price point.

    Good luck OP!

    My neighbor has a 2017 with a RC 3/1 on 34" BFGs.

    I have a 2019 with 2.5/2 on 33" Falkens.

Side profile, I dig mine all day long. Even the neighbor comments on it. Head on, his looks BA. Do you, meet your requirements first, aesthetics second, and you can't go wrong. Tundras just look better with a mild lift, period.

It took me 2 years from first hitting up Colton about suspension until I could pull the trigger. We all understand, but it is fun when it's finally time!

Not sure I have that kind of patience.

The tonneau, racks, and bedrug shot my "mod the new $50K truck" budget all to hell. That probably would've just about covered the suspension too, maybe even some of the tires!

Gotta' let the wife forget all that spending for a little bit. She knows I have plans... she just doesn't quite know yet what they're gonna' cost.

My life would be easier if wifey had a problem with shoes or fancy purses, but she doesn't really spend much. Nothing to counteract my love for new surfboards, truck stuff, shiny objects.

The SSM and the body lines of the bed are looking awesome in that picture. I always like how the silver sky looks in low light.

It wasn't what "I thought" I wanted, I was really liking the MGM, but found this CPO with only 20,000 miles and kept coming back to it.

The more I looked at it the more I liked the color and how it changes in different light.

Silver vehicles used to just be "Meh, okay" to me, but the Silvers they have now have a lot more depth to them. I like how it gets kind of a Mercury tone to it in low light.

*Bonus* It doesn't show the dirt!

Same here. I didn’t go looking for silver, but we ended up loving it when we saw it in person. I was also considering two other trucks, one was MGM and the other Barcelona red.
