    Hi everyone,

I am looking into buying a tundra to upgrade from the Tacoma I have right now. I was wondering if i could get some insite on some things I should try to look out for or try to get on the tundra or what certain features come with a certain package. I want to get a 07+ double cab 6.5ft bed with 4x4 and I think I want the tow package and Ive also seen an option for a power sliding rear window (not the big one that comes on the crew max) that would be nice. Any help or advice would be much appreciated!

Most folks recommend the 5.7 over the 4.6, gas mileage similar. More power, those with 4.6 do not complain. There are no mods to help get better gas mileage. If it has drop-in bed liner, inspect underneath for rust. The upgraded stock JBL stereo system sucks, do not put on your must have list. Have only seen aftermarket auto rear window on DC, but not installed.

    Good Luck!

If you plan on lifting or larger tires. The 09-12 Tundra steering racks are more prone to leaks due to a different design of seals. The fix was is to replace with a different year rack once the original fails.

Probably cam tower leaks. Not sure If anyone has mentioned it.

Btw: the power sliding rear window comes on the limited and above for the dbl cab I believe :)
