Like, when you are off work, and your OCD kicks in and you can no longer stand to look t your mailbox that's been in ground for 19 years and is leaning way out of level and plum, so you dig up the post, locate new holes in the post sleeve, since you installed the anchor 90 degrees wrong, then re install but by god its level and plum now LOL

No offense but I cropped out my address
Can't have strangers raiding my smokers you know
So you can see where the post was and where I moved it to

What I started with was a shovel and 9/16 socket and wratchet

    Ended up with a level
    Mini sledge hammer
    Screw driver
    Extension cord
    Drill and drill bits

Still need to change the numbers on the box
Oh and had to take out a wasp nest that was inside the post sleeve
    Yaaaaaa lol

I hear you OP. Replaced my mom's entire fence (posts and all) on a whim and almost did mine the next weekend but adulting got in the way LOL I was over at my moms, fixing up the hanging swing and looked over at the fence. Didn't like how it had aged...walked in the backyard, entire fence was nasty (my dad had put it up about 20 years earlier) it was still early so ran to Home Depot and got some posts, planks, runners cement and nails, ran home to get the tools I needed and the compressor. By weekends end, she had a brand new fence.
Now that I think about it...she could use a deck.

Days that I do my best to enjoy. 40 hours a week, no more. My old gig was a 60 hour plus per week, did it for 23 years, screw that.

it's a funny world... i spent the initial parts of my career, doing the 40 hours a week, trying to get promoted & paid more.... here I am... promoted, wondering how i can either retire early or get demoted again so i can get my spare time back! I've got too many projects to finish before i die!

I am lower management, there is talk of me moving into salaried management, but I am torn on it, pay will be better, bonus structure is better but its salaried and that means I would be working 50-55 hours a week, and I really do not want that, the money would have to be damn good.

I had the same conundrum... obvi. I opted for the mighty dollar. While I joke about it... I wouldn't change it. The better bonus structure is worth it. Yeah, it sucks when i miss a Saturday or Sunday of fun here & there but the long term financial stability for my family is worth it. I also think that once i'm comfortable with the role i'm in, I'll be less nutso about working the extra hours - I think it's just the first few years of learning to operate at this level.

You're smart for cropping out the address.

I was just thinking "here is my shot to invite myself over for brisket..."

Hell, I just have to pick a day. Some of you smoke or grill almost daily, and then show us the greatness on here making the fine members on here drool like a Saint Bernard's.

I'm have my eye on you mister....

Well if I left today, I'm sure the front of my truck could snag you no less than 3 deer for the freezer.
