The service center killed my Tundra!

My Tundra was about to break a hundred thousand miles so I sent it to the service center to get the oil change tires rotated and see if it needed anything else they checked the truck driver and made some recommendations and I allowed them to continue with all the recommended work.

The last phone call I received from them the gentleman explained to me that during the fuel cleaning process some carbon must have slipped past and into the cam shaft area and caused the timing to be disrupted causing the engine to misfire.

I think they should replace the engine but as it is now they're only replacing the camshaft and risers.

I think they're giving me a load of crap.
It sounds like they hydrolocked and my engine causing the failure but they're not fessing up what do I do?

 

Get everything in writing. Absolutely everything that they have done. If it's not in writing it's just your word against them. Go in and as to see the service write up for your truck, and get them to scan and email you a copy. Conduct all communication through email, or record the calls.
You have to CYA cuz nobody else will.
