Since my last post, I've been busy dialing in several parts on my Tundra. Major upgrade for me has been replacing the Rough Country 3.5" spacer lift with ToyTec Boss 3" Coilovers and Bilstein 5160 w/Resi's in the rear. Combination of the Toytec's & Bilstein's has been a game changer in ride quality, performance and overall drivability. Install was straight forward front and back, only hiccup was trying to remove the tie-rod ends without a tie-rod puller, they wouldn't budge, I tapped away with no luck. I ended up getting a loaner tool. I decided to get a pair of tie-rod ends from NAPA that have zerk fittings so they can be greased which the oem don't have.

Side note, I measured the Rough Country lift from floor to fender lip before with the intention of cranking up the Boss coils to stay at the height I had, once it was all installed and back on the ground, measured again it was within 1/4" from the RC lift.

Took this pic yesterday, the fire skies in CA make my Silver Sky look Cement-ish.

Added Supreme shock clamps (anodized blue) they are high quality and much better price than the Bilstein clamps.

Installed R1 Concepts eLine rotors and pads front and rear. Rotors are cross drilled/slotted pads are ceramic/carbon fiber. My tundra has 25k miles currently, the oem rotors were warped and vibrated like crazy which in turn made me crazy. The R1 rotors and pads are a solid upgrade IMO, truck stops better, no noise, pads do kick out decent brake dust. I ordered Power Stop Stainless Steel brake hoses, haven't had time to get those on the truck yet. From my research, better pedal feel and a firmer pedal (I'll report on my experince once they are on the truck)

This is the kit, I purchased.

The black coating comes off the pad surface, the rotor hat and edges stay black which is a nice touch

This is what the Power Stop hose kit looks like, the lines are stock length. The two "extra" hoses are for the VSC lines over the rear axle, not sure if thats even necessary but its how they're packaged.

Keep us updated on the brakes and rotors. I'm 2014 with around 50k so will probably need to replace my set up soon.

Will do, plan to install the brake lines this weekend so far the rotors and pads have been solid with strong braking performance. My hope is the brake lines will make the pedal just a tad more firm and or responsive.

    More to come....

Switched back to the Anzo taillights I had on my Tundra before the Spyders. I believe other forum members have done this subtle mod, makes a big difffenrce. On the standard Anzo taillights the seam around the perimeter is clear and sealed via plastic weld. It looks cheap and always bothered me. I had a bodyshop paint a black trim around the seam.

Stock Anzo’s with clear edge seam

I agree, much cleaner than the way they come from the mfg.
