"The Brunette"

Long story short, bought a new Tundra Cmax in 07 and got rid of it due to commuting 80 miles to work. Bought Tacoma and was way to small, sold it. A couple of years of wanting a Tundra, I found this 1794 with 21k and got a great deal. Now after owning it for a couple of months is time to get rid of the old man look, like my wife calls it.

Just received my 5100's in the mail will go on "top setting"

Planning on BFG KO2 285/65 R20, OE wheels.
TRD 4x4 decals (need help with color)
Taco Tunes recurve with hybrid audio technologies components x2 and 5 channel amp with jl audio sub.

Remote start from group buy.

BA 10" group buy

Let's see how it comes out....

Any other inexpensive mods you guys can think of would be greatly appreciated!

I love that color! I’ve been eyeing some of the sunset bronze trucks myself. It’s beautiful!

 

West Texas, been to RGV a couple of times for work purposes. Might also add a grill to my hitch like some people do out there.

 

I have always like the color, although white or red would have been my 1st and second choice. No regrets on this color just harder to find wheels and other accessories for this color.

I think black against that color looks great. Black wheels, black emblems, black accents. I think you chose right! This color is nice!

I was looking at some lately. I like them because there aren’t that many of them. I see them but not a lot.

I was going to do gunmetal grey wheels and accents. I think that would be a cool combination. I currently have a black 2010 Rock Warrior and just recently powder coated my Rock Warrior wheels in all gun metal. I think it would look great against that bronze. I’ve got 2 more sets of Rock Warrior wheels. I’m experimenting with various shades of gun metal. I’ll sell a couple sets and keep a couple.

I find it hard to match with all the chrome, and deleting it all would cost a lot, in my opinion.

 

Oh ok. If you’re keeping the chrome then it may not look as good with black and/or gun metal. There is a lot of chrome on those trucks. Just jump on some of the de-chroming threads. They’ll probably help you spend another few thousand dollars!

This was my 2017 before got rid of it, Sunset Bronze, debadg ed on 275/65-20

 

Why did you get rid of it?

 

I was thinking of going with that exact setup on mine. Was going to swap my Platinum Sequoia wheels and go 275 65. I love the clean look of those wheels. How did you like the ride? What did you have for a lift?

Had around 80000 miles in just over two years, and AC compressor blew, entire AC system was replaced, under the extended warranty after fighting with them for week, so up graded to 2018 Smokey Mesquite

 

I had a ready lift 3/2 leveling kit, truck road great, smooth as can be

 

I have your problem as well OP. 2 weeks old. Thinking of a moderate de-chrome from parts @ toyota retailers. Thought about painting but that wasnt as cost efficient as just buying the body parts and installing myself.

 

That’s just as pretty! I like that color too. The brownish tint to those two colors really looks good. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the kind words. I have the Bilstein 6112 with shims for a total of 3” front lift. And I have the Bilstein 5160s with the total chaos shackle (0.75”) and a 1” block for a total of 1.75” rear lift.

I had just the 3/1 but it had the Cali lean with things in the bed, I’m very happy with how it sits now
