That look you give when your patients said Fords last longer than your Tundra...

A 2014 Ford is the reason why I now drive a Tundra. I’m fairly certain there are more Yugos on the road today than Fords produced in 2014.

When I was looking a month ago. I looked at F150, Tundra, GMC 2500. And the reliability reports to follow. New platinum 150 had a 70k price sticker. Hell no. I’m glad I got my Platinum.

maybe it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles. But it’s going to be at my funeral

Fords last longer because you constantly have to replace everything. I have always owned Ford prior to my tundra and they were always in the shop for warranty work.

Seriously... the focus and its clutch problems... the eco-boost tuning issues... and my 2014 flex’s water pump hemorrhaged at 64k miles. My buddy(a mechanic), after I told him what I owed on it, said the labor to repair would cost more than the damned thing was worth. I ran it dry, took it to the dealership, and they offered me 9k trade in. I did NOT negotiate that number at all. Good riddance.

i have seen plenty of Ford products from the early 1900's still rolling, can't say that about a Toyota. Truth is product quality depends on the people producing it, not the company name.

Check out a car show sometime. I have two neighbors with models from the 20's that they drive to the store and work sometimes as well.

Because it happens to fit my needs, and I never said Ford was better. Read again.

Indeed, I think all of the cars from that era I have seen on the road are Fords. They made a lot of them. There is one near me.

Not sure how many Toyotas were sold in America at that time.

Can confirm.. there are more early 19th century Fords operational than there are 2014 year model Fords.

My grandpa has a 97 Crown Vic with 200k miles. He replaced a water pump on it once. Other than regular maintenance, that’s it. He also has a 2001 short bed extended cab 7.3L diesel F350 with 170k miles. Both are fantastic, reliable vehicles. He usually gets at least one offer to buy his truck every time he leaves the house in it.

But those vehicles and the way they were made have nothing to do with the Ford of today. Fords today are made so you can trade it in every few years. That seems to be the new model for all the domestics. Except their HD lines.

    Not a running one
Pops gave me the 29 Chevy about 5 years ago when quit driving (not by choice) but I won’t take actual possession of it until he can’t ride in it anymore. Weather pending we take one of the chevy’s to meets. The truck doesn’t have side windows
I do own a complete T but it’s in pieces in my bils barn I plan on making it my pre retirement project in about 10 years
