I'm looking for textured black fender flares in a plain, oe style. I don't want the pocket/rivet style.
I've come across the oe ones from sparks, but how do they look unpainted? Are they textured black or just smooth/matte black that really needs to be painted to look right?
I want to try and match the textured black that's throughout the truck like you see on the mirror caps, doorhandles, etc.

A buddy of mine bought some he found online for $200 and they looked like crap. They were warped, cut incorrectly and were definitely not made from a mold. The edges where the seal goes looked like it was cut with an exacto knife. They even faded after 3 months.

Anyway, I ran my Bushwackers right out of the box for about 5 years. I had them done in Line-X Premium about 6 or 7 months ago. They look so much better.

I do like the line-x idea, but I like the idea of not having to spend more money to coat them even better.

I hear ya. My bumpers are Line-x too. I upgraded my suspension 2 weeks ago and then new Morimoto XB's this week. I have spent so much on mods I would hate to add them up....lol. Now I'm looking to see what's next.

Be forewarned, they'll F'-up your paint. My truck had Bushwackers when I bought it. Less than 2k miles on the truck and I went to take them off and the paint was already gouged to shit, so I put them back on.

There is a paint saver mod that some members have done with flares.

I think I heard of it. It's called, don't put Bushwackers on your truck.

Would also be interested in some pics from folks who have the black flares like described above.
