    Deleted the post.

As a side note - I understand the mods dont want random people jumping on the forum and posting items for sale. However, having 50 “legitimate” posts is ridiculous. I see a LOT of BS posts all the time on many threads. Is someone checking all the posts of people that are selling items (people with only have 50-100 posts) to ensure they were “legitimate” posts?? Just cause a member does not have 50 posts, does not mean they are not actively visiting the site; There are people that have been members for years and dont have 50 posts....

My apologies for digressing, but that rule is extreme and unnecessary.

This is my second Tundra, and I have been reading the forums for years even though I have not posted anything. I use this site to research issues and products, gain clarification on installs, and all around general knowledge of Tundras.

I guess I need to start making more random, pointless, non-helpful posts in order to increase my status.:annoyed:

You are correct. I think they are.more.concerned about people that pad their posts. Ex: "hi" "yes" "no" and that's three posts. They want this to be a community and not another craigslist. Makes sense. So I would avoid making random posts. Find a thread you like and get involved with the conversation.

Wish the site would actually track threads read or time spent on site. This would be a more accurate way to track than the 50 post quota...

DO NOT disclose how much time I am on Tundras.com, my wife will find honey-do items for me to do if she knew how much time i spent in here. I agree, need to have a threshold of legitimate posts before selling on here

I’m on multiple forums and agree. The minimum post limit generally weeds out scammers and protects the members. It also keeps people from only creating an account to sell their crap

Yes, but good scammers will take the time to do so.... it only weeds out the lazier scammers :monocle:

BTW - my first truck was a 2006 tundra double/crew cab. Let me know if you have any questions. I did shocks/struts, AAL, AEM intake, step bar replacement, alternator replacement, starter replacement, fuel injector o-ring replacement, secondary blower replacement, and radio replacement.

wife was not a fan of me pulling off the upper intake manifold the first time, but cool with it the second/third time

Lots of forums require 50 posts before you can even see the classifieds, its the best solution without requiring premium membership.

Well hell. I'll be in Kerrville and Marble Falls between the 28th and the 2nd. Maybe I'll drive to you or we can meet half way that Sunday.

As a backup I just found out a Tacoma world member who is also a tundra and taco owner from San Angelo is attending the meet at Hidden Falls so he could even bring it to you if all else fails. He already said he didn't mind

Sounds like a plan. Right now I doubt we'll make the trip but who knows, today is a beautiful 62 deg outside and it just may give me the spring fever.

If its any trouble to find the bolts, don't worry about them. This was just a factory tow hook that replaces the tie down loop right?

It can replace or work with the loop. Mine had both on passenger side
and a loop on the driver side. I'll look for the bolts tomorrow.
