Does anyone have the Techstream software and mvci cable on a windows 10 or MacBook up and working?

I’ve found countless threads/forums about this topic but no current answers or anything that seems to be in layman’s terms for me to understand how to get it working properly

I ordered the cable/software off Amazon but can’t get the driver to download. I honestly don’t even see the 64 bit driver software to be able to install it. I’m not very computer savvy, was hoping this would be straightforward

I don’t feel comfortable at all having some foreign entity remote into my computer and install/setup this for me per these terribly written English instructions!

if not I guess I’ll just return it

Yeah I got it running on Windows 64-bit by following the instructions. I recall I had to turn off antivirus.

Yes. The firmware version of your cable has some bearing on how complex the install is. As is what version of the TS software you have.
But know that any of the versions out there are not legit/legal copies, unless you actually paid subscription to Toyota and bought the official cable/tools (at which point, you'd have official drivers for 64-bit windows 10 and probably wouldn't need to be asking about it).
Probably not something that the mods or owner want to have publicly discussed.

I was able to download the Techstream software but not the driver. I watched the video and I don’t have some of the items it shows (like clicking the driver to download it but that’s not even an option for me).

I just found something called Carista so ordered that for $40. I really only want it to get rid of seat belt chime and adjust auto headlight settings. But for the same price would’ve liked to have the full Techstream services but at this point not worth the headache any more to me. Been messing with this all evening and couldn’t figure it out.

A little off topic ...... When I acquired Tech Stream, I loaded it on an old WinXP machine that I found at a flea market for cheap. Installation was straight forward and trouble free. This laptop is a "dedicated" TS machine, nothing else on it. I did this in 2015 and it has worked on my Tundra, Tacoma and Highlander. (last use was checking the TPMS sensors on the Tundra)
