I did not find what I was looking for after searching the forms and all the online videos are explaining setting up.
Here is what I’m need help with:

I successfully set up a utility and boat trailer. Put it in reverse and “Straight back assist” showed on the reverse camera screen. Worked great! Now, I drive home and “straight back assist” no longer shows on reverse screen. I press the trailer button and screen wants to start a set up again.

Next time I hooked up my trailer, I am informed “trailer is detected” I make sure the correct trailer is selected and still “Straight back assist” button does not appear when I switch to reverse.

Once you have performed a successful trailer set up and is saved and selected, do you get the straight back button to appear on the camera/reverse screen? What am I not getting here?

    Question #2
After learning my boat trailer, I was using the straight back assist and “BRAKE” flash and my truck slammed on the brakes. I did find the “beep” silence button which is annoying that it beep every time reversing with a trailer. I would think that stuff would be off when a trailer is detected.

any help is appreciated. Step by step for dummies?

Does your boat trailer have a 7 pin switch?

Both my trailers use the 7 pin plug. Has only surge brakes on boat trailer. Utility trailer has no brakes

So I know my truck does not recognize my 4 pin and will still apply the emergency braking but i have no issues with my 7 pin.

I found some information elsewhere that others have found that the system is not saving properly. The dealer is working to find a solution. Not super excited about that. His description of problem is identical to mine.
