Just saw this on Facebook group and thought it could be of benefit to post it here.

Based on symptoms described by those affected, it looks like the trucks "start shuddering hard, give a brake malfunction error along with a reduced power warning, and instruct to pull over immediately." Understandably, it seems like classic symptoms of the dreaded engine failure.

Well, it seems like in this particular case (if all conditins are met), the remedy is to request the ECM reflash. I attached the TSB to this post (included affected VIN ranges).

Not sure how many dealers are aware. Hope this helps.

Thanks for this update. Looks like only the Hybrids are affected. Glad that an ECM reflash will resolve the issue.

Nope, both models. Says right there: "2022 - 2024 Tundra, Tundra HV".

Opsis.. I had no idea. Uploaded the file linked from the FB post. I thought those are commonly accessible on the net. Will wait for a message from the mods, and if it's not allowed, I will edit my original post to remove it.

If it's available on the NHTSA web site, can it really be a banable offense? Or is it because it has Toyota logos on it? Just asking because I never saw what non-Ryan posted to get banned.

you can post NHTSA, thats public info, you cannot post toyota docs (TSBs) or TIS info.

So it would be ok to post a link to NHTSA, but avoid posting the actual document?

Better run this by a mod...IIRC, the most recent member had posted links to NHTSA which had Toyota docs and was still getting lit up for it.
