My lease is up in Dec and was seriously contemplating this. We’re not a large size family of 4 and my wife thinks the front bench seat is dumb and scoffs when I tell her to sit next to me haha. Also, sometimes I need her to drive and she hates that she can’t adjust the driver seat like her 4runner. Yay or nay?

    A bunch
You would have to go up a level in trim, in both DC and CM, to get the features the boss wants. A DC would be able to fit younger kids in he back, but CM is much more comfortable. I have a 120lb dog and he fits but has a hard time getting comfy in the DC.

Would the 6.5' bed be used a bunch and just having enough room to close the tailgate? That's about the only advantage to the DC. I've found that most stuff I'll take in the bed will still either require the tailgate down or hang out over it. So if I had to do it again I'd be buying a CM myself.

Here's a view from a totally different perspective......

What is your residual value for buy out on the lease?
    Remember Values are Crazy NOW.
If your residual buy out and refinance cost you 38K and you can flip it to CarMax or some other buyer you can make some coin..... score!
On the Other Hand....... Is there another DC you like on hand for you to start a new lease?

It all comes down to what you’d get more perceived value out of. Do you need the bigger bed/increased utility or more cab room?
