Does anyone know how to switch out the cosmetic trim pieces? I want to switch out my wood grain for carbon fiber or at least take them out and wrap them with vinyl.

The ones on the dash and the door panels? I have pry tools but I don't want to break anything. Would that work?

Plastic pry tools among a few other tools are needed for the dash removal. The door trim pieces I've heard may be a bit more difficult as they may require removing plastic welds.

I've removed my dash several times and this is the best video to help you with that...

    Good luck:thumbsup:

The door panel pieces are plastic welds. You will have to chisel them off and then apoxy the painted trim piece back on.

Get a wide screw with washers cause they don't always sit flush when reattaching. So some tabs will need to be screwed in to hold the whole piece tight to the door. Then apoxy the non screwed tabs and then if you want remove the screws at that point and apoxy those tabs as well.

If your just looking to remove that horizontal trim, you actually don't have to remove everything. You can pop off the trim pieces above and pop the tops of the panels below and get those pieces out.

Just did mine. Patience is key. The video posted above is a great reference.

Just changed door panel trim from black to 1794 and the plastic welding and a few screws with washer worked well.
