Is it a bad idea to lift with both larger shackles and a 1” block? Thank you

 

Leafs are obviously better but as long as the pinion angle is good, why not. What is the total size u r looking at? 2wd, 4wd? Should be as simple as dropping carrier bearing in driveshaft.

 

I have a 4wd with 275/70/18 tires

 

I currently have CB3 shackles

 

If you add a block you are going to have to address the shock. Going over 1.5 inches of rear lift you will need a longer shock which is a heck of a lot of work

 

You will be fine, I'm using a block, AAL and shackles ! And I'm towing like a madman ! zero issues.

 

If you flexed your suspension wouldn’t the shock over extend?

 

Yes. Especially with all 3 (block, shackles and AAL).

 

Yes, you will need longer shocks. I don't do any rock crawling. My truck only see's fire roads and the beach therefore nothing is getting over extended.
