    Here goes another "Help Me Decide!" thread. I've done a fair amount of research into what I think I want to do with the truck and the suspension. I am currently sitting on 35 inch BFG KO2 A/T's and 17 inch KMC XD301's with the Bilstein 5100 set up, I forget what the Bilstein's are in the rear.

    I pondered long travel and checking in with Dirt King, since they are local to me, but I don't believe I need it. I only hit the desert a few times during the season. The perceived constant maintenance on LT slightly puts me off. I rotate between my commuter car and the truck on my off days.

    The main thing I am looking at doing with a suspension upgrade is making the ride a bit better on pavement and gaining the ability to hit the whoops a little faster and hitting the trails harder...mainly hitting those whoops without worry.

    I found a package on Off Road Warehouse for a front and rear Fox set up with TC upper arms.
    https://offroadwarehouse.com/i-2127...ge.html#!model=2014||make=TUNDRA||year=TOYOTA

    I'm trying to decide between that and the Stage 5 Icon set up.
    https://offroadwarehouse.com/i-2303...ra.html#!model=2014||make=TUNDRA||year=TOYOTA

    I understand the drastic price difference, but I just wanted to see opinions between the two. Are the Icon leafs a big difference or improvement? Or can I go with the Fox package and leafs from another manufacturer?

    Thanks in advance.

    Not really an apples to apples comparison.

    The fox shocks and coil overs have progressive valving. The rear fox shocks in the link are 2.0s.

    The Icon shocks and coil overs have digressive valving. The rear shocks in the link are 2.5s.

    Digressive vs progressive will give you a different feel both on the street and in the dirt. I haven't rode in a truck with Icons so no personal experience. Most people that have Icons really like them.

    As far as a mini leaf pack, you can go with Icon or Deaver. There are probably others that I'm not aware of. Best results will be a full replacement leaf pack.

    @Stewie the OP is already familiar with the way digressive drives.

    If your happy with the current ride quality and shock characteristics...go Icon. If not go with any other big guys ADS, fox, king, etc.

    My personal vote is ADS.

    @Stewie I understand it’s not apples to apples, but which package would you throw the dough at?

    @14burrito Are you currently using ADS? I believe I saw an old thread that stated you were riding on Icons

    if those are the only two options you are considering id go with icon hands down. You could package the fox with a deaver k37 leaf pack. The add leafs from icon are ok, the shock option from icon are better compared to those fox shocks. Id say get the icon and look at the RTX leaf pack. And the icon upoper control arms. Thats gonna give you a nice setup for sure @KevinK

    Still haven't figured out this maintenance thing on LT- Its not any different than MT. I think its just if you have LT you use the truck in the dirt so there are more offroad miles on the parts- direct relation to maintenance. If you are thinking LT - I know of a used kit that will be for sale soon.

    @empenaflor I agree with @papasmurf. If your only options are the two kits you listed, I would go Icon.

    However, If you have the funds to swing long travel, I'd go that route.
    I have a nice mid travel set up and I'm happy with it, but I'm still jelly of the long travel guys.

    As @n2deep said, no significant maintenance difference between mid travel and long travel.

    Like @papasmurf said, if you’re looking at Icon, I’d do that front, but the RXT rear with bypasses. Especially if you’re wanting to do any kind of whoops faster.

    ‘Hitting whoops without worry’ is a loaded statement. Are you talking about Barstow whoop sections for miles on end, or more like the occasional ‘oh shit, there’s three whoops’ kind of section? Those require vastly different setups and tuning dedication.

    @n2deep is right about the maintenance also. LT 10-15 years ago may have had higher maintenance needs, but not the uniballs and heims of today. Don’t let maintenance make your decision. A proper LT setup will swallow up the whoops. The initial cost is obviously higher.

    You guys are great, thanks for all the suggestions/tips/help.

    @anthonygan There is a package that @dirtydeeds offers with TC UCA's and Kings front and rear: http://dirtydeedsindustries.com/pro...ar-front-shocks-compression-adjusters-bundle/

    I may look at that as well. As far as the ICON vs. Fox packages go, I am leaning towards the ICON package.

    @n2deep @KevinK @Stewie Glad to know. If we're being realistic, I only hit Ocotillo and some whoops out there maybe 5 times a year at the most. Definitely not as often as I'd like. With my current budget and situation, I don't think I could go LT. I think if I had to narrow it down now, it's the King/TC package through Dirty Deeds or the Icon package. Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm just ready to move past the Bilsteins and on to something a little more substantial.

    If I'm being honest with myself, I really don't think I could put 10k into a long travel set up, as nice as that would be.
