Hey Guys, just wanted to get a “cart check” before I pull the trigger.. If any of the suspension experts in here could help out a noob, that would be awesome

Just picked up a 2014 Sr5 Crewmax and want to Beef it up.. Talked myself out of the local $550 readylift 3/2 spacer level, and am looking at the Bilstein 6112 route (after going back and forth between these and the Eibach / Toytec) Other options would be the Ironman 3.5” kit or a RC 4” lift -I’d Love to go higher, But I’m nervous to mess with the geometry too much or get myself into a mess.

I am looking to make this vehicle into a family hauler, mall crawler, but with the option to get the hell outta dodge if ever I needed to.. I prefer low maintenance set it and forget it type of upgrades.

I’ve had Bilstein 5100’s & Geolander M/T’s with stock springs and a spacer block in the rear on a Sierra 1500 prior to this (traded it in for the Tundra) - and absolutely hated the ride quality.. Felt very squirrelly to me, and gave me that road trip fatigue feeling after driving it. So I’m praying these 6112’s with a Wildpeak or Toyo ATW3 or R/T tire will be a bit smoother (thoughts on this aspect would be appreciated)

Currently Looking at the following setup:

-6112 in front on highest Setting
-5186 in rear on Highest Setting
    -SPC Adjustable UCA’s
    -Coachbuilder .5” shims x 3 (2 for driver side)
    -Coachbuilder +3” Shackle Kit
-Spydertrax 1.25” Wheel spacers all around
-35x12.5 r18 Tires (Brand tbd, suggestions welcomed)

Am I on the right track? Anything glaringly missing? Anything I should look out for or tell the installation tech? (Do plan to trim skid plate as necessary, trying to avoid BMC)

Any insight, thoughts, advice would be greatly appreciated!

The only thing I’d consider is leaving the lift shims out of the equation.

I’m assuming you’ll be using OEM wheels since you’ve got the spacers in your cart? That will give you a nice offset to run them 35s with a small lift. May need to max out caster to get away from the body mount, but otherwise should be an easy fit.

Good luck and post up pic’s!

I think I saw this posted on facebook as well, but if you haven't bought everything yet we're happy to help and can price match everything there! Just give us a buzz here at Hotshot Offroad! 406-936-0206

As for product selection the only thing I am seeing is the rear shocks. You're looking at the last gen 5160s. I'm not sure how much you really care about the fact that they look different (and will weather different), but other than that your pick list looks fine. I'd probably add in that you'll want a small carrier bearing drop as well to relax some driveline angles.

I’d definitely take @memario1214 up on his offer.

I run a similar setup but didn’t max out the 6112 up front. I set at 1.9” and threw a CB spacer on the driver’s side for the lean.

Who is doing the install? I’ve heard of techs not familiar with off-road / 4x4 setups struggle to adjust the UCAs for alignment…

I believe a spacer is included with the Coachbuilder shackle - he used to include one in the +2 and +3 shackle kits.

TRUE! I often forget that, but you are 100% correct.
