Suspension advice for work and play 2021 SR5

    This is my first post here, so I hope I'm not breaking any rules by asking for this kind of advice.

    I just bought a 2021 Tundra SR5 and will use it for work and play. Sold my 2000 Ivan Stewart Edition to a buddy with 275,000. I absolutely love that truck and respect the shit out of Tundras.

    I'm a geophysicist and travel a lot for work. This truck will get a lot of highway miles, tons of dirt/washboard, and plenty of miles wheeling. Its main job is to transport expensive and delicate geophysical equipment.

    Washboard ride quality is probably my biggest concern because washboards can beat the crab out of the equipment. Highway stability would be second in priority and wheeling capability a close third. Budget isn't a huge issue if the ride improvement on washboards is substantial. I'd like to lift the truck 2.5-ish" to add larger tires for clearance.

    So, my question is, what suspension system should I be looking at?

    need more info- are you going to be running the truck loaded? Or heavy bumpers, winch, bed cap?

    Will have a bed cap (ARE or Leer shell), likely add C4 bumpers, front and rear, and add sliders. Will run loaded with equipment about half of the time.

    Well, there are some great suspensions available. Fox or Kings are great, on the higher $ end. I am sure you will get plenty of suggestions. As with anything, budget will dictate possibilities 2.5 inch lift can be as cheap as 5100s (hundred of dollars) on up to as much $ as you would like to spend.

    With your intended setup and uses I would suggest that you look at OME suspensions. They are priced well and quite stout. There are 3 front spring rates available depending on your load/use. OME also offers the BP51 kit which is more $ (similar to full fox or kings) but again, quality components. I have run OME suspensions on a few vehicles and they were always top notch- decent on road, very good off road and beefy enough to help with additional weight and towing. Install and forget it and never any issues with shocks leaking or components failing even after 60k+ miles.
