    There is no issue with making something for yourself and your own purposes. The OP indicated he intends to sell the emblems. That's where you get into trouble. Superman and the logo are a registered trademark of DC or Marvel or whatever publisher. Selling an item that carries a registered trademark belonging to someone else requires a licensing fee if you don't want to end up in court.
