I keep meaning to try cheap shit soap with it. I've been using CG snow foam, but its expensive so i probably only put 1/4 of a cup in the bottle and the rest water. It definitely needs a lot of soap to get that really thick foam.

Damn, you guys are gonna cost me money.:spending:

Fester, or anyone, do you know the specs on your electric pressure washer? Mine is 1.6gpm at 1900psi, IIRC, just wanting to know that it is enough before I buy.

Off the top of my head I want to say it's 18-2000psi, 1.4gpm maybe. I know it was under the specs they list but I figured for $20 I'd give it a shot and it worked fine.

If you're referring to CG Honeydew Snow Foam, it's only expensive if you're buying it in 16oz bottles.....they sell it in a gallon size and it's fairly reasonable at around 30.00 a gallon. I watch for sales on it at places like Autogeek and Autopia. Of the less expensive soaps out there, I've gotten decent foam from Meguiars Gold Class. If you're using an electric power washer (like me), swap out the standard orifice (1.25mm) for the smaller one (1.1mm) in the foam cannon. Will produce better foam for you. They're available at Detailed Image

I put one in my cannon and I can't get anything out of it now. I may have to drill a larger orifice in it.

Check the filter before you drill out the orifice...or just go back to the standard 1.25. Just out of curiosity, what is your water to soap ratio?

I have the MTM PF22 I won in a raffle and love the thing. Has a very high operating pressure and puts out some THICK foam.

Another vote for the cheap Amazon one. I've used mine many times, it's definitely paid for itself. I agree that I don't see any reason to pay for the expensive ones. I use Meguiars Gold class in it also. I started out using 5oz of soap and it worked awesome. I have since cut that in half and it still produces nice, thick foam.

Okay. Running a Ryobi but using a fancy wand from Obssessed Garage which I believe has a smaller orifice. I have since ordered an upgraded pressure washer that ups my GPM and pressure but the smaller orifice will keep the pressure around 1200 to 1100. Hope this helps.

The orifice is in the foam cannon itself, not the wand
