Stuck on "Waiting for Bluetooth" til the end of time.

Hey all,
2014 Tundra double cab SR5 TSS. So I've read all I can find about my issue: I turned off the Bluetooth on the multimedia device so I could use a different bluetooth device while my truck was running. Now I cannot turn it back on. I cannot remove the phone or add a phone because it is "waiting for Bluetooth".. Well, the Bluetooth was turned off. I'm regretting turning it off for sure. My multimedia device is the one without navigation (double cab did not offer that feature back then - no leather by the way either). Toyota says no available software updates for units without navigation. I have not tried updating the software with navigation because I am concerned it will make matters worse. I've skipped trying a reset by disconnecting the battery, because that didn't work for anyone else it seems from what I've read so far. I tried using the USB to play podcasts or make calls etc, but the truck only tells me that "no songs are available for playback" so plugging the phone in doesn't do anything either. At this point, the truck will be "waiting for Bluetooth" until the end of time because it won't turn itself on. I've tried doping everything from the phone also and just not happening. If anyone out there can help, I'd appreciate it! Thanks
