Seems I can get good deal on purchasing new bilstein 4600 shocks. My question is I have a platinum that has the black shocks, can I buy just the new shocks and struts and re use the coil springs that came with the truck. My truck isn’t lifted or anything and I know Toyota says the springs are “off road tuned”

    Alot of them
Why are you wanting to replace them already? I would just wear them out and then level it with 5100's or lift it with some coilovers. :D

The springs are not "tuned." The black shocks are the base ones, and are not tuned for anything particular. The TRD Sport package and the TRD Off Road packages have shocks that are road tuned and trail tuned, respectively. TRD Sport shocks are red/blue while the Off Road shocks are yellow/blue.

That said, if you're buying aftermarket suspension, I would use whatever they provide. They've designed it as a kit and may deny warranty claims if you mix and match with their product.

The only aftermarket shock I've seen that reuses the stock coil springs are the Falcon Shocks from TeraFlex.

So would the stock front springs from the black shocks be the same spring for the yellow and blue bilstein

Should be. There might be different springs for the cab options to accommodate differing base weights, but the job of the spring is to support the load of the vehicle. The dynamics of off road or on road driving would be tuned through the shocks.
