I'm unable to fully connect my new strut into the lower control arm due to some excess metal that was pushed down at the bolt opening before the strut replacement.

Any tools or ideas that I should use to shave or trim the excess metal so the strut can fit?

Is the right side hole wallowed out, and some metal is now on the inside? I think that's what you're saying.

Looks like you'll have to dremel or grind it flat. Might even be able to use a flat file.

File the burr off. Get a prybar in there to bend the steel tab open a little more so the bushing fits.
