Strange power/electric issue supply to ac panel

I hope someone here has experienced something like this and can help.

I have a 2008 Tundra, 5.7L crew cab that I do not drive very often. I went to drive it the other day and noticed there was no power to the ac panel and none of the knobs worked, no ac, recirc, mirror def, fan etc. They would turn, but nothing happened and also the air was only hot, like the damper was stuck open. I thought it would be a fuse, so I checked those and they look fine. Today I was trying to get a response from the fan or anything there and when I first turn the key on there is power and everything works fine, but it stops after about 30 seconds. It is totally repeatable, remove key, accessory/start and everything is fine for a few seconds and then goes off. Thanks!

 

1.) make sure battery terminals are clean and snug and the battery is fully charged and has 12.4 volts or more
2.) I would either pull the fuse and replace with a new or manually test the fuse
3.) Pull the A/C panel off and check that the plug didn't come undone from the back or is loose (will want a set of nylon trim pry tools, very cheap at any auto store)
4.) Test the Switch panel with a ohm meter

 

Thanks for the tips, I tried them all and the same weird behavior is there still. Fan, etc is great and then it all shuts off.

 

I bet your switch panel is no bueno

 

when you say crew cab do you mean CrewMax and not a double cab?
also do you have auto climate controls or manual? (auto would be like for a limited or platinum)
and how did you go about testing the switch panel and connectors?
is there a check engine light at all?
is there any other lights or interior functions that don't work?
also is it console shift or column shift?
