Storage box

Just purchased a Tundra Limited with the iforce max engine. With no under the seat storage in the rear I’m looking for options in the bed?

Has anyone found a storage tote or box that will fit behind the wheel well? Between the wheel well and tailgate?

Just to clarify I’m not interested in a swing box that is mounted to the truck.

 

Surplus military cases, or just a beefy tote or ammo cans

 

Mine has under seat storage that is full and I also have a tool storage box in the bed, also have a hard folding bed cover to keep the box secure.

anyone compared this to the OEM Toyota version? hard to find any information about the OEM version, they are both basically the same price.

 

They are probably the same. I would hesitate getting these again. One side is sagging (I have tools in there, but that’s what they are for) and the plastic is warping on the tops. Not a good value for the price, which is kind of outrageous considering the quality.

 

I have a version of these in the truck bed at all times and another one in the garage for camping trips. Well built, really sturdy.
Initially I wished it had a hinged lid, but I don't access it often enough to be a big deal. The 4 latches keep the lid on tight.

 

Do you have a tonneau cover? If yes, you might just go to Lowe's or HD with a tape measure and find a couple of different options there. I tried to order stuff online, but it was just simpler to be able to see it in person. If you go when it's slow, sometimes they'll let you park under the contractors' pullthrough and try them in the truck. I leave in a rural area so theft isn't the issue, just dust and bouncing around. Lots of good options which are cheaper than what I expected to buy.
