I didn't read anything about a "stop sale" condition in your link, it just said that some existing 2018/2019 vehicles will receive recall notices starting in late October.

I was at the dealership today to see if I could finally make the Tundra deal happen (which it didn't by the way.... :frusty: ) but the salesman mentioned to me that they have been notified about the recall and that they couldn't let me take the truck until the recall was rectified by way of a software upgrade. Upwards around two weeks.

I would assume that they would do it quicker for a truck that got sold or is on the street currently. He might have meant two weeks for the trucks that were on the lot currently. But I am only assuming on that. Or I could be that this dealer sucks and they don't want to sell a lot of vehicles. They would rather sell a few at top dollar than a lot for a good price... That is what I am gathering from my dealing with them...

The reprogramming takes about 1.5 hours. I just had to take my brand new 2019 in to have it done yesterday. Nice thing is the dealership has some good coffee. Bad thing is they had the TV tuned into The View.
